Applications are sought for Clinical Fellow posts (Year 1 HST) & Advanced Clinical Fellow posts (Year 2 HST) in Intensive Care Medicine commencing July 2026:
2. Applicants for Advanced Clinical Fellow posts (Year 2 HST) must:

A copy of
– An up to date CV with a cover letter
– Proof of English language test (if applicable)
– Colour copy of a valid passport
– Certificate of naturalisation or IRP Card (if applicable)
– Evidence of registration with the Medical Council of Ireland
– Copy of CSCST or proof of eligibility for CSCST or evidence of entry onto the Specialist Division of the Register of the Medical Council of Ireland (Year 2 advanced Clinical Fellow only)
– Two references from most recent heads of department
Applications must clearly state the level of post applied for.
All applicants must be registered with the Medical Council of Ireland at the time of application.

A brief information session outlining the structure of the training programme will be made available to all interested candidates prior to the interview process.

Notes:
The Intensive Care Medicine Training programme is a national training programme. Applicants completing the two-year specialist intensive care medicine training programme will spend a minimum of six months outside the Dublin region. The full list of JFICMI training hospitals can be found here.
Places are allocated in the first instance to applicants who, at the time of application, are citizens of Ireland or nationals of another Member State of the European Union, Stamp 4 Visa Holders and UK nationals.
