Dr Dermot Phelan was one of the first Consultant Intensivists in Ireland and among others played a leading role in the development of Intensive Care as a specialty in Ireland. 

Recently we interviewed him on his career in ICM, the development of ICM in Ireland and his thoughts on the future of ICM.
