The transfer of the JFICMI logbooks and competency assessments to the CAI ‘Kaizen’ system is complete and appears to be functioning satisfactorily under the supervision of the JFICMI’s Chair of Training.
Discussion of the JFICMI’s mandatory courses centred on factors such as the relative merit of Mandatory v. Desirable courses, the time frame (normally 2 supraspecialty years) in which they need to be completed and their cost. The outcome from the training committee is that five courses are now mandatory (BASIC, IDAP, Basic critical care echocardiography, Difficult airway workshop and Critical Care simulation).
The CAI anti-bullying policy was tabled at the JFICMI Board and endorsed. For website publication shortly.
