Personal data of trainees and fellows will be processed on this website in accordance with the Data Protection acts (1988 and 2003) and the Freedom of Information act 2014. When you use the services on this website, we at the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine respect your privacy and our obligations to data protection practices.

Personal information is held by the Faculty. This will not be collected without your permission unless required or permitted by law. Your personal information will not, without your permission, be made available to a third party. It will only be used according to the purposes for which it was provided and will not be held longer than is required for this purpose. Non-personal or non-sensitive data may be disclosed to a third party approved by the Joint Faculty for the purposes of research, statistical analysis and related activities.

Some data may be disclosed on the website. This would include lists of members or fellows, lists of faculty speakers, delegates at education meetings or conferences, as part of examinations reports, authored publications and newsletters, annual reviews and general Joint Faculty activities.

Information about internet traffic on the website is routinely collected by the Joint Faculty and also at other points along the internet route. This technical information is used to facilitate the smooth running of the computer network and for necessary administrative purposes. It is not used to collect identifiable personal information on website visitors unless this is permitted by law, or is being used to detect problems or offences related the use or operation of the website.

Pursuant to the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003, you have certain rights to obtain a copy of the data held about you.
